This month our FAOD Support Call will look a little different! RhabdomyolysisBreakdown of muscle tissue, releasing muscle fiber contents into the blood, with complex and potentially fatal consequences. Muscle contents are harmful to the kidney; rarely, permanent muscle damage can feel like being lost without a road map leading you home. Join us at 8:15pm for a discussion about your child’s personal experiences with rhabdo, from symptoms to recovery. Physical Therapist Pamela Tucker will then present a draft protocol for rehabilitation post rhabdomyolysis with the aim of demystifying recovery and physical activity. She is currently in the process of creating a protocol for the FAOD community and would love your input!
